We hope everyone had a joyful holiday season and filled up on the good cheer needed for a hot start to January 2025.

We're excited about the tournaments, leagues, partnerships, and parties planned in the new year. Since we love predictions, we traded our Paloma ball for a crystal one to see what the near future has in store for our exceptional community.

Prediction #1: It will snow (again) in NYC and players, especially those playing in their first winter season, will be left wondering whether we're really serious about playing on snow-covered fields.

How to Plan Ahead: Read our official weather protocol. Resist the urge to email us immediately if a weather forecast calls for snow on the date of your scheduled match. Plan on playing unless you hear from the NYC Footy team otherwise. Enjoy every second you're out there.

Prediction #3: A new city will join in on all the Footy fun

How to Plan Ahead: Pack a suitcase and discover a love for soccer-inspired travel by playing in one or all of our upcoming tournaments. With Miami Footy leagues set to launch in early January and Footy Fest Miami taking place on March 15th, we've expanded our options for the New Yorkers amongst us who are all about the snowbird life. But there's no reason we can't continue spreading good vibes throughout more soccer-loving cities, especially if you're a digital nomad or choose where to live next based on the quality of soccer leagues available.

Prediction #4: The saga that is The Founders Derby will continue to serve as a model of competitive sportsmanship from which all company leaders can learn.

How to Plan Ahead: Attend all the upcoming tournaments IRL and keep watching @nycfootyofficial for future Founders Derby drops. If you feel so inclined, refer your company's talent leaders to look into our corporate leagues program as a healthy way for employees to practice teamwork in a productive environment.

Prediction #5: Paloma jerseys will grow to become a symbol of U.S. soccer pop culture as our nation hypes hosting the upcoming World Cup.

Our collaboration with Brooklyn artist Duke Riley was only the first step in the story of Paloma.
